| An outline proposal
to the major UK retail banks for the funding and participation in
a project designed to test the operation and viability of a neutral
outsourced branch model which would provide basic transactional
and information services to customers of all major banks on a shared
cost basis, potentially achieving significant cost savings for participating
banks.
The implementation and applicable use by the industry
of White Label branches, together with the further development of
virtual delivery channels, would provide a level of customer choice
and convenience such that the purpose for which the CCBS coalition
was established will largely have been concluded.
